I cannot vouch for the credibility of 'PJ Media'...after all, it is a known quantity in terms of having a conservative political agenda...I suspect this pathetic story is not entirely untrue.
and decide for yourself it's legitimacy and whether or not our hell-bent affinity for 'political correctness' would...insane as I personally consider it to be...tolerate this kind of circumstance in America.  Think it over; be honest.  They are on their way sports fans: press '3' for Arabic.

I have posted this before and I'll probably do it again any time someone starts talking gun control. This is an email I received. It is not my work but I agree with the writer.

As the Supreme Court hears arguments for and against the Chicago, IL Gun Ban, I offer you another stellar example of a letter (written by a Marine) that places the proper perspective on what a gun means to a civilized society.

Read this eloquent and profound letter and pay close attention to the last paragraph of the letter....

"The Gun Is Civilization" by Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret)

Human beings only have two ways to deal with one another: reason and force. If you want me to do something for you, you have a choice of either convincing me via argument, or force me to do your bidding under threat of force. Every human interaction falls into one of those two categories, without exception. Reason or force, that's it.

In a truly moral and civilized society, people exclusively interact through persuasion. Force has no place as a valid method of social interaction, and the only thing that removes force from the menu is the personal firearm, as paradoxical as it may sound to some.

When I carry a gun, you cannot deal with me by force. You have to use reason and try to persuade me, because I have a way to negate your threat or employment of force.

The gun is the only personal weapon that puts a 100-pound woman on equal footing with a 220-pound mugger, a 75-year old retiree on equal footing with a 19-year old gang banger, and a single guy on equal footing with a carload of drunk guys with baseball bats. The gun removes the disparity in physical strength, size, or numbers between a potential attacker and a defender.

There are plenty of people who consider the gun as the source of bad force equations. These are the people who think that we'd be more civilized if all guns were removed from society, because a firearm makes it easier for a [armed] mugger to do his job. That, of course, is only true if the mugger's potential victims are mostly disarmed either by choice or by legislative fiat--it has no validity when most of a mugger's potential marks are armed.

People who argue for the banning of arms ask for automatic rule by the young, the strong, and the many, and that's the exact opposite of a civilized society. A mugger, even an armed one, can only make a successful living in a society where the state has granted him a force monopoly.

Then there's the argument that the gun makes confrontations lethal that otherwise would only result in injury. This argument is fallacious in several ways. Without guns involved, confrontations are won by the physically superior party inflicting overwhelming injury on the loser.

People who think that fists, bats, sticks, or stones don't constitute lethal force watch too much TV, where people take beatings and come out of it with a bloody lip at worst. The fact that the gun makes lethal force easier works solely in favor of the weaker defender, not the stronger attacker. If both are armed, the field is level.

The gun is the only weapon that's as lethal in the hands of an octogenarian as it is in the hands of a weight lifter. It simply wouldn't work as well as a force equalizer if it wasn't both lethal and easily employable.

When I carry a gun, I don't do so because I am looking for a fight, but because I'm looking to be left alone. The gun at my side means that I cannot be forced, only persuaded. I don't carry it because I'm afraid, but because it enables me to be unafraid. It doesn't limit the actions of those who would interact with me through reason, only the actions of those who would do so by force. It removes force from the equation... and that's why carrying a gun is a civilized act.

By Maj. L. Caudill USMC (Ret.)

So the greatest civilization is one where all citizens are equally armed and can only be persuaded, never forced.
Thank You

I hope you’re sitting down.
According to thishealth insurance premiums under Obamacare are going to go up an average of 100%, and some rates will climb more than FOUR HUNDRED PERCENT, due to the new regulations, policies, fees, taxes, mandates, and other crapulence associated with it.
Let me take this opportunity to remind you that the Actual Name of Obamacare is the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act.
Yyyyyyyyyyeah.
In addition to the premium hikes we regular common folks will see, our employers (and particularly small businesses) will also see increases of up to 50%, with some seeing hikes over 100%.  The reason?  Because of MATH, which is something that no one who wrote the stupid legislation ever bothered to take into account.  When you offer more and more and more stuff to people (like free birth control, for example), and you’re adding fewer healthy people to the covered subscriber list, that thing happens where you are spending more than you are taking in, and so you run out of money.  (See: Every program that Obama has ever proposed ever.)
So anyway, there’s your “Affordable Care,” folks.  When you see your rates go up, try to take comfort in the fact that all the liberal losers who voted for the people who voted for this crap are seeing their rates go up too.  Not that that’s any consolation.

Rants, Observations & Obfuscations

My family gave me, what I feel, is a pretty healthy perspective on death.  It was never hidden from me as a child, merely the last experience of life.  Nor was I taught to seek out death through thrill seeking or any other means.  I don't think I could ever be suicidal, as it is against my religion and I just don't think it's my style.I always hoped to meet the hour of my death with equanimity and hopefully be at peace with myself and my maker  I think that's about all most of us can hope for.

Lately however I honestly have begun to fear that I will die MURDERED by my government dying with a pile of brass at my feet..  This is not paranoia, is not a conspiracy theory or a death wish.  There are just too many inconsistencies in instances of my government trampling on the rights of the individual and what I see is an attempt to silence those who would in any way speak out against what appears to be a power grab of unprecedented proportions.  The government has shown its interest of late in arming its civilian bureaus have only and searching for military leaders who are willing to make war on the civilian populace.  This directly contravenes law and policy.  The active military like the CIA is prohibited from operating inside United States borders.

The vets I know, both combat and administrative, agree with me and feel that we have been targeted as potential domestic terrorists and threats to the government.  Not threats to national security, but threats to an administration who feels duty bound to trample on the Constitution and the amendments.

I would hope every individual, whether liberal or conservative would consider very carefully the actions of this president since his inauguration subsequent to his reelection.  It was well publicized his comments to a foreign leader that he had to be careful before the election and after the election he would have a lot of options.  I feel his heavy-handed tactics since his reelection bear this out, that he has designs on running the country by Fiat rather than by legal process.  His use of Executive Order to circumvent an override constitutional law is a proven fact.  What troubles me is Congress's refusal to put this in check.  Executive order is illegal and useful tool for expediency.  Executive order does not have the authority legally or constitutionally to override lots unless Congress and the people allow it to happen.

We now have a president who has sealed by "Executive Order" all of his personal information.  It has taken nearly 4 years for information to surface outlining what these sealed records contain.  I guess the most significant find is our president attended school as a foreign exchange student.  This is only legal if you're a foreigner.  Now here we have the quandary, either Obama is a foreigner and not eligible to be president of these United States; or he is in fact a citizen and defrauded the federal government on his student loans.  You can't have it both ways.

This man appeared out of almost nowhere and was financed through invisible means that he will not divulge into national prominence so quickly has sued the file I get.  The sad fact is is we pay more attention to the background of our soccer coaches in football coaches and Boy Scout leaders then we do to the man with whom we have entrusted our national heritage.  This is madness.  His confrontational attitude towards gun control to me is a beacon of his intent.  It is obvious to even the least aware of the mechanics of gun control that his purposes are not to control crime, but to disarm a populace in such a manner as to make this populace absolutely defenseless against an increasingly aggressive government.

It has been pointed out time and time again that his policies and actions parallel those of such treasured people as Adolf Hitler, Lenin, the Chinese and a host of other dictators who have subjugated their people and murdered the populace en masse over the last 75 years.

It seems to be that anytime anybody criticizes Obama they are instantly deemed a racist by the liberal machine.  Well I am not a racist.  I do not like Mr. Obama because he is in my personal opinion not good for my country.  There are a host of black men who would make excellent presidents of the United States and I would vote for them in a heartbeat.  I have read that: Powell feels the Republican Party is racist towards him.  While I am not a Republican I am a conservative and I would vote for: Powell and I disagree with him that Republicans are racist.  It is quite probable that a number of the "good old boy" hierarchy of the GOP feel that way.  I just find it is unfortunate that he chooses to throw the baby out with the bathwater in this particular instance, as I'm sure there are a great number of Republicans in fact probably the majority of Republicans who are not racist.  I was saddened when all of the Democratic finger-pointing Herman Cain threw him out of the race, because of his infidelities.  While on the other hand they continued to support Bill Clinton after his not only alleged but documented infidelities over time, and his lying to Congress and the American public about his infidelities and transgressions.  Yet they seem to support them and "that was okay".  He not only transgress but he lied.  Seems to me the lie is what brought Nixon down and caused his resignation.  Why one a conservative or Republican gets caught doing wrong, he is held to the letter of the law and forced to succumb to the outrage of the left.  However when the left gets caught, it always seems to be okay.  Sorry about that.  The double standard these people adhere to is incredible.

Letter to the Entitled...

Here is a letter from a guy from Oak Harbor who expresses my sentiments exactly

Letter to our two Washington State senators.

April 3, 2013

Senator Patty Murray
Senator Maria Cantwell
Washington, DC , 20510

Dear Senator:
I have tried to live by the rules my entire life. My father was a Sergeant Major, U.S. Army, who died of combat related stresses shortly after his retirement. It was he who instilled in me those virtues he felt important - honesty, duty, patriotism and obeying the laws of God and of our various governments. I have served my country, paid my taxes, worked hard, volunteered and donated my fair share of money, time and artifacts.

Today, as I approach my 79th birthday, I am heart-broken when I look at my country and my government. I shall only point out a very few things abysmally wrong which you can multiply by a thousand fold. I have calculated that all the money I have paid in income taxes my entire life cannot even keep the Senate barbershop open for one year! Only Heaven and a few tight-lipped actuarial types know what the Senate dining room costs the taxpayers. So please, enjoy your haircuts and meals on us.

Last year, the president spent an estimated 1.4 $billion on himself and his family. The vice president spends $millions on hotels. They have had 8 vacations so far this year! And our House of Representatives and Senate have become America 's answer to the Saudi royal family. You have become the "perfumed princes and princesses" of our country.

In the middle of the night, you voted in the Affordable Health Care Act, a.k.a. "Obama Care," a bill which no more than a handful of senators or representatives read more than several paragraphs, crammed it down our throats, and then promptly exempted yourselves from it substituting your own taxpayer-subsidized golden health care insurance.

You live exceedingly well, eat and drink as well as the "one percenters," consistently vote yourselves perks and pay raises while making 3.5 times the average U.S. individual income, and give up nothing while you (as well as the president and veep) ask us to sacrifice due to sequestration (for which, of course, you plan to blame the Republicans, anyway).

You understand very well the only two rules you need to know - (1) How to get elected, and (2) How to get re-elected. And you do this with the aid of an eagerly willing and partisan press, speeches permeated with a certain economy of truth, and by buying the votes of the greedy, the ill-informed and under-educated citizens (and non-citizens, too, many of whom do vote) who are looking for a handout rather than a job. Your so-called "safety net" has become a hammock for the lazy. And, what is it now, about 49 or 50 million on food stamps - pretty much all Democrat voters - and the program is absolutely rife with fraud with absolutely no congressional oversight?

I would offer that you are not entirely to blame. What changed you is the seductive environment of power in which you have immersed yourselves. It is the nature of both houses of Congress which requires you to subordinate your virtue in order to get anything done until you have achieved a leadership role. To paraphrase President Reagan, it appears that the second oldest profession (politics), bears a remarkably strong resemblance to the oldest.

As the hirsute first Baron John Emerich Edward Dalberg Acton (1834 - 1902), English historian and moralist, so aptly and accurately stated, "Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely. Great men are almost always bad men." I'm only guessing that this applies to the female sex as well. Tell me, is there a more corrupt entity in this country than Congress?

While we middle class people continue to struggle, our government becomes less and less transparent, more and more bureaucratic, and ever so much more dictatorial, using Czars and Secretaries to tell us (just to mention a very few) what kind of light bulbs we must purchase, how much soda or hamburgers we can eat, what cars we can drive, gasoline to use, and what health care we must buy. Countless thousands of pages of regulations strangle our businesses costing the consumer more and more every day.

As I face my final year, or so, with cancer, my president and my government tell me "You'll just have to take a pill," while you, Senator, your colleagues, the president, and other exulted government officials and their families will get the best possible health care on our tax dollars until you are called home by your Creator while also enjoying a retirement beyond my wildest dreams, which of course, you voted for yourselves and we pay for.

The chances of you reading this letter are practically zero as your staff will not pass it on, but with a little luck, a form letter response might be generated by them with an auto signature applied, hoping we will believe that you, our senator or representative, has heard us and actually cares. This letter will, however, go on line where many others will have the chance to read one person's opinion, rightly or wrongly, about this government, its administration and its senators and representatives.

I only hope that occasionally you might quietly thank the taxpayer for all the generous entitlements which you have voted yourselves, for which, by law, we must pay, unless, of course, it just goes on the $17 trillion national debt for which your children and ours, and your grandchildren and ours, ad infinitum, must eventually try to pick up the tab.

My final thoughts are that it must take a person who has either lost his or her soul, or conscience, or both, to seek re-election and continue to destroy this country I deeply love and put it so far in debt that we will never pay it off while your lot improves by the minute, because of your power. For you, Senator, will never stand up to the rascals in your House who constantly deceive the American people. And that, my dear Senator, is how power has corrupted you and the entire Congress. The only answer to clean up this cesspool is term limits.

This, of course, will kill the goose that lays your golden eggs. And woe be to him (or her) who would dare to bring it up.

Sincerely,
Bill

Brown: Is This The Scandal That Will Bring Obama Down?
By Floyd and Mary Beth Brown January 11, 2013 6:53 am

It's even worse than we previously thought. A retired four-star admiral is now claiming that Barack Obama intentionally conspired with America's enemies to stage a bogus attack and the kidnapping of an American ambassador so he could "negotiate" the release of a "hostage" and bolster his mediocre approval ratings just prior to the election?

The Washington Examiner, quoting retired Four-Star Admiral James Lyons, writes: "the attack on the American Consulate in Benghazi... was the result of a bungled abduction attempt.... the first stage of an international prisoner exchange... that would have ensured the release of Omar Abdel Rahman, the 'Blind Sheik'..."

But something went horribly wrong with Obama's "October Surprise." Although the Obama Administration intentionally gutted security at the consulate prior to the staged kidnapping, former Navy SEALs Tyrone Woods and Glen Doherty disobeyed direct orders to stand down, saved American lives, single-handedly killed scores of attackers...and the attackers, believing that the Obama had betrayed them, tortured Ambassador Chris Stevens and dragged his body through the streets.
Some will say that Admiral Lyons' accusation is not a smoking gun. We agree, that's exactly why Congress must investigate Benghazi-gate.

Moreover, we firmly believe the problem with Admiral Lyons' assertion is that he is only scratching the surface the full and complete truth may be much, much worse.
Benghazi-gate is not about a bogus YouTube video series of lies. It's not about the Obama Administration's foreign policy ineptitude. We are dealing with something much more sinister... something potentially treasonous... and the following questions, posed in an article in The New American, go to the heart of the matter:

1. "What was the Obama administration's full role in helping violent Jihadists, self-styled al Qaeda terrorists, and Western-backed "revolutionaries" take over Libya in the first place?

2. Did that half-baked scheme to arm Jihadist leaders, who... had previously fought U.S. troops in Iraq, contribute to the attack, as countless experts and officials have suggested?

3. What was actually going on at the compound in Benghazi, which as the report states, was never a "consulate" despite establishment media claims?

4. Was Ambassador Stevens recruiting and arming Jihadists and terrorists to wage war on the Syrian regime after what Obama called the "success" in Libya, as a growing body of credible evidence suggests?

5. Why did the administration claim for so long that the attack was just a "protest" over a YouTube video gone awry, even when it knew definitively that was not the case?

6. Was the lack of security at the compound a political ploy to conceal the extent of the lawlessness and utter chaos left in the wake of Obama's unconstitutional "regime change" war on Libya, as even members of Congress have alleged?"

It's clear. Benghazi-Gate is only a small piece of a much larger operation, an attempt to conceal what The New American calls; "the Obama administration's full role in helping violent Jihadists and self-styled al Qaeda terrorists."

Prior to the election Barack Obama continually told us that "Osama bin-Laden is dead and GM is alive," but the sad truth is that Osama bin-Laden's organization is alive and well and the Obama Regime may be giving aid and comfort to this terrorist network.

And prior to the election, Fox News' Geraldo Rivera pontificated that Republicans shouldn't "politicize" Benghazi-gate. Swaggering onto the set of Fox and Friends Rivera bloviated: "I think we have to stop this politicizing" and Rivera issued the following veiled warning to Republicans: "Do we want to try and influence the election with a tragedy that happened in North Africa?"

Ironic, isn't it? Barack Obama played politics with the lives of Americans, like Rivera, the media covered Obama's rear and threatened to accuse anyone and everyone who mentioned it of "playing politics."
Weak-willed Republicans apparently took Rivera's threat to heart as Rivera also said that Republican Senators John Barrasso, James Inhofe and Bob Corker, who all sit on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee "all agree that the supercharged atmosphere around the story — prudence dictates that these hearings be postponed until" after the election.

Well, the election has come and gone. Congress now has no excuse. The American people needed the truth before the election, but now that Obama is back in the White House real conservatives must demand answers.

The American people deserve to have those questions answered and moreover the American people deserve justice.

Got Gun Control and abuse of Executive Order on my mind... I think I am gonna spew a bit here...

http://www.facebook.com/USMCHELLHOUNDS

A LITTLE BIT OF HISTORY TO THINK ABOUT.......December 29, 2012 marked the 122nd Anniversary of the murder of 297 Sioux Indians at Wounded Knee Creek on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in South Dakota. These 297 people, in their winter camp, were murdered by federal agents and members of the 7th Cavalry who had come to confiscate their firearms “for their own safety and protection”. The slaughter began after the majority of the Sioux had peacefully turned in their firearms. The Calvary began shooting, and managed to wipe out the entire camp. 200 of the 297 victims were women and children. About 40 members of the 7th Cavalry were killed, but over half of them were victims of fratricide from the Hotchkiss guns of their overzealous comrades-in-arms. Twenty members of the 7th Cavalry's death squad, were deemed “National Heroes” and were awarded the Medal of Honor for their acts of [cowardice] heroism.
We hear very little of Wounded Knee today. It is usually not mentioned in our history classes or books. What little that does exist about Wounded Knee is normally a sanitized “Official Government Explanation”. And there are several historically inaccurate depictions of the events leading up to the massacre, which appear in movie scripts and are not the least bit representative of the actual events that took place that day.

Wounded Knee was among the first federally backed gun confiscation attempts in United States history. It ended in the senseless murder of 297 people.

Before you jump on the emotionally charged bandwagon for gun-control, take a moment to reflect on the real purpose of the Second Amendment, the right of the people to take up arms in defense of themselves, their families, and property in the face of invading armies or an oppressive government. The argument that the Second Amendment only applies to hunting and target shooting is asinine. When the United States Constitution was drafted, “hunting” was an everyday chore carried out by men and women to put meat on the table each night, and “target shooting” was an unheard of concept. Musket balls were a precious commodity and were certainly not wasted on “target shooting”. The Second Amendment was written by people who fled oppressive and tyrannical regimes in Europe, and it refers to the right of American citizens to be armed for defensive purposes, should such tyranny arise in the United States.

As time goes forward, the average citizen in the United States continually loses little chunks of personal freedom or “liberty”. Far too many times, unjust gun control bills were passed and signed into law under the guise of “for your safety” or “for protection”. The Patriot Act signed into law by G.W. Bush, was expanded and continues under Barack Obama. It is just one of many examples of American citizens being stripped of their rights and privacy for “safety”. Now, the Right to Keep and Bear Arms is on the table, and will, most likely be attacked to facilitate the path for the removal of our firearms, all in the name of “our safety”.

Before any American citizen blindly accepts whatever new firearms legislation that is about to be doled out, they should stop and think about something for just one minute- Evil does exist in our world. It always has and always will. Throughout history evil people have committed evil acts. In the Bible one of the first stories is that of Cain killing Abel. We can not legislate “evil” into extinction. Good people will abide by the law, and the criminal element will always find a way around it.

Evil exists all around us, but looking back at the historical record of the past 200 years, across the globe, where is “evil” and “malevolence” most often found? In the hands of those with the power, the governments. That greatest human tragedies on record and the largest loss of innocent human life can be attributed to governments. Who do the governments always target? “Scapegoats” and “enemies” within their own borders…but only after they have been disarmed to the point where they are no longer a threat. Ask any Native American, and they will tell you it was inferior technology and lack of arms that contributed to their demise. Ask any Armenian why it was so easy for the Turks to exterminate millions of them, and they will answer “We were disarmed before it happened”. Ask any Jew what Hitler’s first step prior to the mass murders of the Holocaust was- confiscation of firearms from the people.

Wounded Knee is the prime example of why the Second Amendment exists, and why we should vehemently resist any attempts to infringe on our Rights to Bear Arms. Without the Second Amendment we will be totally stripped of any ability to defend ourselves and our families.
